Our pets are family members and when we can be with them its provides peace of mind to know they are being cared for in a loving and compassionate way. In our survey of pet owners, the environmentally sensitive Island Pet Sitting topped the recommended list. Neighborhood Walks Your dog will be setting paws to the pavement or whisked away to a local trail on their neighborhood walk with Furry Friend Sitter. Let us be their adventure guide on their 45-minute sniff & stroll. These are on-leash walks guided by positive reinforcement. We will focus on your dog’s specific needs. This is an individual or small group service. Dogs will be matched for compatibility. *This is a great option for dogs that require one-on-one work with a professional handler in anticipation of soon joining the adventure hikes. $45.00/60 minute session * $10.00/additional dog from the same household Adventure Hikes Dogs hiking with one of our Furry Friend Sitters can be found adventuring through lush rainforests, covered in a cool canopy of trees. They are invited to play, hike, swim, splash, or just take in the sights and dip their toes in. Each dog’s confidence guides its engagement as they are encouraged with positive reinforcement. They learn valuable social skills while having fun with their compatible pack-mates. All dogs deserve adventure, exercise, and fun. Small, senior, and anxious dogs are welcome to join us on the trails. Let our Furry Friend Sitter pick your pup up to be swept away for the ultimate canine adventure and be returned home one happy and tired dog. Fresh water is offered throughout. Lela Fasciani is an civil engineer by profession but a true country girl at heart.
She is involved with many environmental projects around Vancouver Island and has worked with animals all her life and loves the time she gets to spend with them. She is a multi talented professional and while working with Island Pet Sitting, Lela has become known as one of the best pet sitters on the Island. She has experience in equine sports, competing, training, transportation and stable management. She gets to know her clients' animals on a foundational level and embraces their care with love and compassion. |

Garnet McPherson from Edible Landscapes is an ecological designer, educator and keynote speaker who has been on the faculty of several education centres. He is one of Canada's foremost experts in permaculture design. He has designed green landscapes, eco homes, organic farms and sustainable communities over 30 years.
